Supports map display and query (in the ST Map Explorer) and general mapping agency-wide. en Originated from the Washington Department of Revenue using (most likely) the Census TIGER files as a base. Is now maintained by Sound Transit. Sound Transit was undergoing a review of its RTA boundary circa 2001-2002 (with Kroll Maps serving as review consultant). Review of updated boundaries was provided by the King, Pierce, and Snohomish County Elections Departments. Updates and line adjustments were performed by Sound Transit GIS Consultants. As of February 2002, the RTA boundary did not spatially register with any of the parcel basemap datasets from King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. As of September 2002, the RTA boundary was updated to spatially register with the datasets from King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties. The boundary line was adjusted to be coincident with the features called out in the narrative (Exhibit A-1 Narrative Description - Regional Transit Authority Boundary): street centerlines, PLSS, citylimits, county lines, and water features. As of January 2003, the boundary was updated to reflect the 1998 Board motion excluding the City of Covington. The Exhibit A-1 narrative was updated as well. In 2013, the RTA Board adopted this revised boundary, which reflects annexations under SB 6271, and corrects a number of scrivener's errors in the 2002 version.
